I’m an Experience designer, design leader, mentor, public speaker, husband and father. My pronouns are He/Him/His.
User experience is the design of all aspects of a person’s experience (interactions, perceptions, emotions) with a product or service.
I’ve spent all of my career in the field of design, initially as an Industrial Designer, then moving to digital and User Experience since 2000. I’m passionate about instilling human centred design within organisations and building and growing design capability within technology companies. My ultimate goal is to educate everyone (not just designers) in putting users and customers at the heart of decision making when creating a product or service. When you marry design and technology with a focus on user experience, wonderful things happen.

I recently spoke at the inaugural UX Camp unconference held in Melbourne on 17 November 2023. Titled The Demise of UX, the talk addressed some themes that have been causing anxiety and uncertainty in UX practitioners.
